Kaya recently completed her first year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. At law school, she volunteered with Downtown Legal Services, a legal aid clinic affiliated with the University of Toronto, where she assisted clients in the Disability, Health and Income Security Department. She was recently elected Vice-President of Operations and Marketing for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Prior to law school, Kaya earned an Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. She also shadowed members of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in St. Catharines, where she conducted case law research and developed an interest in the justice system. Kaya is actively involved in her community, volunteering with CAMH Engage to support its annual gala, pickleball tournament and other fundraising events. In her free time, she enjoys reading, discussing the Star Wars franchise and spending time with friends and family.
