Rebecca recently completed her second year at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. At law school, she worked as a co-ordinator for the Centre for Law and the Environment. She also served as the 1L Representative and Outreach Coordinator for the Environmental Law Group, Secretary of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association and Assistant Editor of the UBC Law Review. Rebecca participated in ĆELÁṈENEȽ: A Field Course in the Re-Emergence of W̱SÁNEĆ Law, an experiential program combining land-based learning and legal research, delivered in collaboration with the W̱SÁNEĆ community on Vancouver Island. Prior to law school, Rebecca earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science from McMaster University, with a concentration in Environment and Society and a minor in Indigenous Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a teaching assistant in geography, sustainability and urban studies. She also served as a research assistant in the area of urban studies, co-authoring a paper published in an international, peer-reviewed academic journal. Outside of school and work, Rebecca enjoys travelling, discovering new cafes, downhill skiing and beach walks with her dog.
